TubeNotes is built to help you take timestamped notes on YouTube videos. We do not sell personal data and we do not track your browsing.
What data TubeNotes handles
- User-created content: notes you write, tags, pinned videos, and metadata related to saved videos (e.g., title/URL/time).
- Account data (optional): email address used for login (only if you create an account).
- Sync data (optional, Premium): if you enable cloud sync, your notes and saved items may be stored in our database to sync across devices.
What we do NOT do
- No automatic scraping of websites.
- No background tracking of browsing history.
- No selling of personal data.
- No reading YouTube content without your actions inside the extension UI.
Where your data is stored
- Default: stored locally in your browser (Chrome storage).
- If you enable Sync: stored securely in the cloud to sync across devices.
How we use data
- To provide the core functionality: saving, organizing, and searching your notes.
- To provide optional account features: login, Premium status, and sync.
Sharing
We do not share your personal data with advertisers. Payments (if applicable) are handled by a payment provider (e.g., Stripe) outside the extension.
Security
- Authentication is handled securely.
- Access controls are applied to synced data (users can only access their own data).
Your choices
- You can use TubeNotes without creating an account (local-only).
- You can disable Sync anytime.
- You can request deletion of your synced account data (see Contact).
Limited Use disclosure (for Chrome Web Store compliance)
TubeNotes only uses user data to provide and improve the extension’s core features (notes, organization, and optional sync).
TubeNotes does not use user data for advertising and does not sell user data.

TubeNotes provides tools to create and manage timestamped notes for YouTube videos.
3. Accounts (optional)
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping access to your account secure.
4. Premium (optional)
Premium may include features such as cloud sync and higher usage limits. Premium availability and features may change over time.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not use TubeNotes for unlawful purposes.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, exploit, or disrupt the service.
6. Disclaimer
TubeNotes is provided “as is” without warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms and the Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date will reflect changes.
